{Nûby News: Fun Foam Bath Letters and Numbers}

I am over-the-moon excited to be writing my first post as a Nûby Parent Blogger!!! I was thrilled when they contacted me, and it is such an honor and a pleasure to join the Nûby team.

The fit couldn't be more perfect because both of my kids have been Nûby fans since they were born, and our love for Nûby has only grown since becoming a part of the Nûby family. As soon as our goodies arrived, Kate couldn't wait to tear into the bath toys. It was love at first sight for her when she saw the foam letters and numbers, and she couldn't get into the tub fast enough to play with them.

I have personally struggled to find bath toys that serve our needs, and these fit the bill in ALL departments. The colors are so bold and vibrant, and I love that they actually adhere so well to the side of the tub. We are in the process of teaching Kate her numbers and alphabet, and these Nûby toys are just the perfect tool to make learning fun for her.

Not only are they great water toys, but they also serve as fun things to play with outside of the bath tub.Once we're finished with bath time, we toss our letters and numbers in the toy bag and tote them around the house, the yard, and even in the car for road trips.  Toys that serve multiple purposes make this mama very happy!! :)

I don't have one negative thing to say about this Nûby product, and I'm very thankful for such a helpful toy for my toddler.

{Stuffed Peppers}

I love my mom's stuffed peppers, and it is still one of my favorite dishes that she makes. I whipped them up tonight, and I would love for you to give them a try! :)

6 medium green peppers
1 pound ground beef
⅓ cup chopped onion
1 1-pound can tomatoes
½ cup long-grain rice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
4 ounces sharp American cheese

Cut off tops of peppers; remove seeds and membrane.

Precook pepper cups in boiling salted water about 5 minutes; drain; Sprinkle inside of cups generously with salt.

Cook ground beef and chopped onion until meat is lightly browned. Season with ½ teaspoon salt and dash pepper. Add tomatoes, ½ cup water, rice, and Worcestershire sauce.

Cover and simmer until rice is tender, about 15 minutes. Stir in 4 ounces cheese, shredded (1 cup).

Stuff peppers; stand upright in 10 X 6 X1 ½-inch baking dish.

Bake, uncovered, at 350℉ for 20 to 25 minutes.  Serves 6. Enjoy!!

{What's In My Diaper Bag}

Over the weekend, I was asked on Instagram by one of my sweet friends to post a little bit about what's in my diaper bag.  I was so excited that she thought of me because I have actually had this topic on my mind for months now.
I like to call these my "new mom necessities" because they have been so helpful to me from the birth of my kids and throughout my daily mommy duties to my 2 year-old and 6 month-old.
// Water, water, and more water. I can't get enough...Especially while I'm nursing. // A good teether...My kids are huge Sophie the Giraffe fans. // Plenty of diapers!! // Vitamins...I love these Naturemade Pre-Natal and Post-Natal products. // Lansinoh nursing cream...Nursing mamas - This stuff is awesome!!! And you wanna hear a tip I learned from the fabulous Ruthy who blogs at Discovery Street? It also makes the BEST lip balm! 2 uses in 1 product...Bonus!! // Baby wipes...I carry this awesome Huggies wipes clutch with me everywhere. It's cute, convenient, and it straps to anything...Stroller, car seat, etc. // Healthy snacks that I can grab and eat on the go. These Larabar snacks are so yummy and full of nutritious ingredients for both me and my baby. // Batiste Hair Dry Shampoo...This has been a lifesaver!! I love a good bath every night, but this mama doesn't have time to be washing hair every day! // Burp cloths...We love aden and anais because they're so soft and they're the perfect size. // Diaper Cream...Desitin and Butt Paste are our faves. // Hand Sanitizer...I carry it everywhere!! You'll currently find this bottle by the Honest Co in my bag. // Cleansing face wipes...Right after my kids were born, these were lifesavers. I kept them in my nightstand so even if I was tired from being up with babies, I could always clean the makeup off my face. // eos Wet and Dry Shaving Cream...This smells great, and I love that you can use it in the shower or out. // These are just a few of my favorite things...Hope they help!!
All new mommies need a fabulous bag to accompany all these essentials, and I'm in LOVE with my diaper bag! My parents gave this to me for Christmas, and I love it more every day.  You can find it here.
Enjoy, ladies, and have a great Monday!

Today was just one of those days where nothing seemed to be going right...Kate coughed so hard she got sick, which resulted in a bath before 8 am, Reeves was screaming during said bath, my laptop froze right as I was finishing up a blog post, two crazy wasps got in the house, I couldn't find a sitter for tomorrow, and I changed what felt like 50 dirty diapers.

As I was feeding Reeves this afternoon, I decided to catch up on my reading over on the Baby Boy Bakery blog.  And just like that, all of my "problems" seemed so minuscule. I cried as I read the letter she wrote to her little boy in Heaven...Actually, I had to stop in the middle to let my tears dry because I was crying so hard. I realized my problems aren't even problems at all...They are blessings because I still have my babies on this earth.

Here is a mom who longs to feel her baby's arms around her neck, his soft hair against her cheeks...She longs to just smell his sweet skin again...Oh my heart literally hurts when I think about what they're going through, and I immediately prayed for God to wrap his arms around Jacqui, her husband, and their son.

So tonight, I'm not complaining about the hard day I had. Tonight, I'm thanking God for the bath I was able to give my daughter, the bottle I was able to feed my son, the many diapers I was able to change, and the little rosy cheeks I was able to kiss goodnight.

Cling tight to your babies tonight, and please send a prayer up for Ryan Cruz and his sweet family.
